Bewelana’s 150th Anniversary

150 lat Bewelany

A documentary celebration of the 150th birthday of the wool factory Bewelana. There’s an overview of all the company’s activities, including manufacturing but also the organization of workers’ leisure time. The film traces the workers and the machines inside the factory, a meeting of the administration, a party organized for the 150th birthday of Bewelana, a choir, a rock band, and people dancing. Then the film shows leisure: summer camps for workers’ children at the Polish seaside, and a hotel in the Tatra mountains for employees. The film climaxes with a meeting of the Polish communist party.
