A film-noir conflict between a boxer and his trainer leads to an ultimatum: one of them will have to leave the boxing club. The film alternates between the narrative perspective of the two characters, reflecting on the conflict in flashback scenes. Eventually the trainer has to leave. The club privileges the success of a good boxer over the trainer’s prestige.
